Underbool-Linga Memorial Hall.
Following a recent meeting, the committee of management will be pursuing funding from ‘Tiny Towns’ to assist with required maintenance and improvements. Some ‘in-kind’ contributions will form a part of this application and there will be opportunities for volunteer help. More information will be advertised when the outcome of the application becomes known.
As our Hall is the MRCC Designated Community Relief Centre, MRCC has installed wifi satellite internet access and supplied a generator for emergency use. The generator needs to be set up in readiness for such an event. The committee is following this up with MRCC.
The pictorial collection of local residents who have been involved in WW1, WW2 and other conflicts is being upgraded in preparation for display on the east wall of the carpeted meeting area.
The committee expresses sincere appreciation to Roy Manley who has been responsible for watering the grounds around the Hall for many years but other commitments have now made it more difficult for him to successfully maintain the watering regime. Thank you very much to Ian Beasley who has recently offered to look after watering the grounds.
President Ron Jackson
